Property Investment – Are you dying to get into the property market?

The Business Review Weekly recently reported Harry Trigubof is bullish on the Sydney property market.  I wonder however, if he contemplated investing in cemeteries?  With burial sites across the Sydney greater metropolitan area expected to reach capacity within 30-40 years, this scarcity of land is the driving force to find new solutions to finding a final resting place.  From a legislative perspective the NSW Government is so concerned it recently passed The Cemeteries and Crematoria Bill 2013 (NSW), to address the scarcity issues.  That legislation is the first of its kind in over 100 years. It seems that now entrepreneurs are noting a captive market and are turning their mind and money to investing in cemeteries.  While the Norwegian solution is to propose a high-rise cemetery, Sydney property developer Robert Itaoui has taken a more traditional approach. Investing in a cemetery strikes me the ultimate in integrated estate planning!
