Sad songs say so much – subjectively so it seems?

Sea shanties – my husband has a thing for them and according to a recent twitter craze, so do a significant number of others. So, I was fascinated to read this article about a study which found sad songs are subjective. That is, the emotions certain songs elicit is significantly influenced by culture. This interested me, as I wondered as to the songs people choose for funerals. What song would you choose for your funeral?
