QT Bar Surfers Paradise, GCDLA celebrates the end of another busy and successful year. Though this year celebrations had a little extra sparkle with the Gold Coast Legal fraternity also celebrating the overwhelming success of two of its own with the Qld legal profession electing Bill Potts as President and Christine Smyth as Deputy President of the Queensland Law Society for 2016. Thank you to the GCDLA for a great night.

Christine Smyth is a colleague who I initially got to know as a fellow member of the Queensland Law Society Succession Law Committee. This body makes submission to the Queensland Government on succession law, and deals with the judges committee on estate administration.
