FAKE DEFACTO CLAIMS

Shocking and sad. The lengths to which some people will go to raise estate claims is extraordinary. This article reports on a Brisbane woman who falsified documents and purchased rings to support her false claims that she was in a de facto relationship with the deceased. Her fraud was so heinous she stopped the funeral of the deceased. Who knows what was in the mind of the fraudster – perhaps desperation, sometimes people struggle to accept the truth of their own reality. The difficulty is so many get hurt in the process. In this case family members were strong enough to persist in testing the evidence. Not every one is strong enough at a time of great grief, and that is one of the ways people succeed in these claims. They simply emotionally outlast the other side.
