In reading and learning of this story, I wondered how many people write their own obituary? Succession lawyers encourage people to plan for their passing but this tends to focus on the financial aspects of their life. We also recommend planning for funeral arrangements. But it occurred to me why aren’t we also encouraging people to write their own obituary? Say when they make their will? Why not encourage them to own a part of the story that gets told on their death?
