Perhaps it is the history, or the personal stories that sit behind them, I have always found cemeteries fascinating to visit.  To me they are pleasant places to meander with the plaques on the gravestones akin to the opening paragraph to the story of a life lived in another time. The short descriptions fuel my imagination, with much to ponder about the person that lies beneath. For others, graves are a connection to their ancestry.  And so, it was with much interest to discover, while I was visiting relatives over the Christmas break, they had recently found a website which helped them locate the grave of a relative. The website is an excellent resource in locating the graves of long forgotten ancestors.  Or if you are a history buff, the gravesites of famous people.  With what is currently happening in the USA, a visit to this site reveals the location of George Washington’s grave, with details of the contribution he made to American Democracy.  The site is called www.findagrave.com.
